Rotary Club of Strathcona Sunrise
Our 54 members meet in English at 0700 each Wednesday at the Coast Westerly Hotel, 1590 Cliffe Avenue in Courtenay.
Our main service projects for the past year were the construction of a children’s playground and the provision of prostetics, mobility aids and corrective surgeries in Chennai, India. We also continued the program "Adventures in Music" which brings young people from across Canada to a two week music camp at which they refine their music skills.
We have one outgoing and one incoming International exchange student each year and sponsor one Interact Club.
Our main fund raising activities are bingos, and a food booth run at local festivals.
